Roberto Carlos puts Coutinho on the same level as Neymar
Legendary former Brazil international Roberto Carlos believes Philippe Coutinho is just as important to the national team as Neymar.
Coutinho and Neymar were the players to score the goals in Brazil's 2-0 victory over Costa Rica, making progression to the Round of 16 a bit easier after an opening 1-1 draw to Switzerland.
Analysisng the 'Selecao's first two matches for 'The Sunday People', Carlos used the opportunity to praise the Barcelona midfielder.
He said: "Everyone is talking about Neymar, but the truth is that Coutinho is also a great player for Brazil. All opposition defences are concentrated on Neymar and [Coutinho] appears and decides game".
For the former full-back, he is confident of Brazil's chances in Russia, adding: "Our individual quality and our organisation makes us the team to beat".
