Rivaldo, the ex-Deportivo La Coruna and Barcelona footballer, thinks Kylian Mbappe could join Real Madrid soon.

Kylian Mbappe's name has been linked with Real Madrid since he joined PSG. Rivaldo, the former Barca player, talked about the French striker's possible move to the Bernabeu.

"Real Madrid should sign Mbappe in 2021. Of course, the French attacker would be a great signing and a big boost for the club," Rivaldo, a 'Betfair' embassador, said.

The Brazilian admitted getting the Frenchman to leave PSG would not be easy though. "They will not let him leave easily or for a low price, but football is a business and the player does not want stay in French football for a long time so I think sooner or later he will move to Spain."

"With all his talent and as a World Cup winner with France, he will want to make a step up in his career and play in the one of the best leagues in the world," the Brazilian said on Mbappe.

The Frenchman's objectives would be a major reason in him moving to Spain. "PSG are Champions League contenders, but the player will look for a bigger challenge domestically in La Liga or the Premier League," he concluded.

PSG have no plans to sell Mbappe or Neymar this summer, even more so because of the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. Therefore, summer 2021 is when Real are looking to buy him as he would have just one year remaining on his contract.
