FC Barcelona have a problem at right-back. Since the departure of Alves in his first spell at the club, many players have played at right-back, but none of them have managed to establish themselves in the same way as the Brazilian.

Time goes by and at Barcelona there is a problem that seems to have no end. Barcelona have always had a dream squad at every position, although on certain occasions, more than one position has given the coach in charge a headache.

Right-back has become a cursed position. Many players have played there, but none of them have managed to establish themselves since Dani Alves left the club for the first time.

The player who has most often played in this position has been Sergi Roberto, who has definitely converted to a defensive role. However, the Spaniard is still a long way from the Brazilian's record.

Aleix Vidal, Dest, Emerson and Semedo have been some of the signings to reinforce the right-back position. Injuries, lack of adaptation or the obligation to sell to solve the club's financial problems have been some of the factors that have prevented the normal development of these players.
