Tranmere defender Liam Ridehalgh suffered one of the worst performances at Wembley after being sent off just 54 seconds into their Conference play-off final against Boreham Wood.
Playing under the arch is a dream for most English footballers but it soon turned into a nightmare for Ridehalgh.
With just 48 seconds on the clock, the defender went lunging into a tackle on Ricky Shakes with both feet off the ground and completely missed the ball, clattering into his opponent instead.
It was an easy decision for referee Neil Hair who took just six seconds to brandish a red card and send Ridehalgh for an early bath.
Shakes had to receive treatment on the pitch but was thankfully okay to continue.
However, Tranmere seemed to cope astonishingly well with going down to 10 men, taking the lead in the 6th minute through Andy Cook.
The forward found the target with a bullet header after a brilliant left-sided delivery from James Norwood.
