Reinildo is not suffering from a muscle rupture
Atletico Madrid confirmed on Monday that defender Reinildo Mandava is not suffering from a muscle rupture after he had to be substituted in the derby.
Reinildo Mandava, the Atletico Madrid defender who was substituted in the 73rd minute of Sunday's derby against Real Madrid due to discomfort, has not suffered a muscle rupture, according to tests he underwent at the Clinica Universidad de Navarra on Monday, meaning he is a serious doubt for Wednesday's game against Elche at the Martínez Valero.
"The evolution of his complaints will determine his incorporation into the group," explained the club's medical report on the Mozambican left-back, who has been an almost permanent starter in Diego Simeone's squad since his arrival at the club in the winter transfer window.
Reinildo has made 18 official competitive appearances for the Spaniards, all of which he has been available, sixteen of them from the starting line-up.
