Real Madrid have turned down two offers for one of their best and brightest as the transfer deadline nears.

Marcos Llorente returned to the Bernabeu this summer after a fine season on loan at Espanyol. His form during his temporary switch led plenty of interest in his services this summer but it appears that the 22-year-old is going nowhere ahead of Friday's Spanish transfer deadlin.

The youngster is keen to stay in the Spanish capital and is happy to wait for his chance to shine. Real boss Zinedine Zidane is also more than happy for him to stay, not that that stopped other sides from trying to prise the player away.

In the last few days, it is understood that Valencia and former side Espanyol have both made offers for Llorente, though these bids have been flatly refused by Real.

Real are thought to have Llorente's sutation very clear in their minds: he will only be allowed to go on loan to a team playing in the Champions League that can offer him regular football. With this in mind, it was very unlikely that the offers from Real's domestic rivals were ever likely to met with a positive response by Florentino Perez and the like.

With just two days to go before the Spanish window closes, it is thought that Zidane is more than happy with the shape and size of his squad and it confident of challenging on all fronts this season.
