Real Madrid win the 'Clásico' World XI (4-2)

The Spaniard Sergio Ramos, the Brazilian Marcelo, the Belgian Eden Hazard, and the Croat Luka Modric, all Real Madrid players, were named in the FIFA Wolrd XI. Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Frenkie De Jong were also named in the coveted XI at La Scala de Milan on Monday.

In this particular battle that there always between the two biggest teams in Spain, Zidane's players were the ones left smiling despite Barcelona having one more nomination (10 compared to Real's 9).

The best XI of the year lined up with Alisson Becker (Liverpool) in goals, the Dutch defenders Matthijs De Ligt (Ajax) and Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool), the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) and the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé (PSG).

La Liga once again dominated the FIFA's World XI, after having 5 players in the best team of 2018 and 7 in the 2017 edition, and on both occasions, Real Madrid, who were the champions of Europe, had the most.

The only absentee from FIFA's showcase event was Ronaldo who got an injury in the abductor, and who will not be able to play from Juventus against Brescia on Tuesday.

FIFA's World XI is the following: Alisson, Ramos, Van Dijk, De Ligt, Marcelo, Modric, De Jong, Hazard, Ronaldo, Messi, and Mbappé.
