Real Madrid waiting on Neymar signal
With his future up in the air, Real Madrid are waiting for Neymar to give them a sign that he's interested in a move before they attempt any potential signing of the Brazilian.
Just like in every transfer window, Neymar is being linked with Real Madrid. However, all the talk has seemed more serious ever since the forward jumped ship and left bitter rivals Barcelona to join PSG in 2017.
After a torrid 2018/19 season, wholesale changes are expected at Real Madrid this summer, with many players reportedly already told that they won't have a future at the club.
And with reports suggesting that Eden Hazard is practically signed, and will be announced as a Real player after the Europa League final, 'Los Blancos' are believed to be turning their interest to PSG's maverick attacker.
However, Madrid know that negotiating with PSG will be no mean feat, so they have asked Neymar to take the first step if he does indeed want to leave the French champions.
Just a few weeks ago, one of Neymar's agents, Wagner Ribeiro, was pictured in Madrid with club president Florentino Pérez, and rumours have suggested they could have been discussing a potential transfer.
According to 'AS', a source close to the player has not ruled out a move to the Spanish capital: "Neymar is swimming in gold at PSG. His dream to play for Real Madrid will not be realized until he takes the step and tells Al-Khelaïfi that he wants to go," he said.
So, with the transfer window fast approaching, Neymar's name has once again risen to the surface, and with PSG continuing to fail on the European stage, some of their biggest stars could be looking to move on.
Meanwhile. Neymar's contract at PSG runs until 2022, and PSG's Arab owners are notoriously difficult to negotiate with, meaning the onus will fall upon Neymar to make the first move in what could be another drawn-out transfer saga.
