In order to make room for Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid are understood to be prepared to let one of their much vaunted triumvirate leave.

Florentino Perez is understood to be keen on bringing the Frenchman to the Bernabeu this summer, though they are not the only ones interested. Recent reports have linked Liverpool with a world record move for the striking sensation.

Mbappe burst onto the scene this season, scoring 26 goals and providing 14 assists in 44 games in all competitions.

With regard to a potential switch to the Spanish capital, Mbappe is believed to be apprehensive, fearing that he would only be a bit-part player. However, according to French newspaper 'L'Équipe', Real Madrid have promised the 18-year-old that one of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema or Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the club.

At present, it looks as if Ronaldo is the most likely to leave, he has told the club that he wants to move on this summer due to a perceived lack of support in the face of his ongoing legal troubles. Nevertheless, the club is holding out some hope that Florentino Perez can convince him to stay.

'L'Équipe' goes on to say that Benzema would be unlikely to be moved on as Zinedine Zidane sees him as an essential part of his squad.

The paper predicts that Bale will be the one to make way for the French teenager and speculates that the switch could add further potency to the Real Madrid frontline.
