In a bid to end the tension emerged in their forward line between Edinson Cavani and new signing Neymar Jr, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly offered the Uruguayan striker to Real Madrid.

French publication 'L'Equipe' reported several days ago that Neymar had demanded Cavani's sale, and it seems Al-Khelaifi may have decided to fulfill his star's wishes.

The South American pair have been seen squabbling over who takes set pieces for the Parisian side, with manager Unai Emery urging the pair to sort it out. However, the club president may have another solution, as revealed by Spanish outlet 'Diario Gol'.

The former Napoli striker will have plenty of suitors, with Europe's top clubs keen on securing the services of the 30-year-old. Real Madrid have emerged as favourites out of a host of clubs that remain alert to every movement that takes place in the French capital.

Zidane's team have set their sights on the January transfer window as they seek to recruit a world-class striker to replace the injured Benzema and make the Bernabeu forget about Morata. Madrid's lack of scoring has become evident in the first weeks of the Spanish competition and Cavani is one of the best players in his position.

The 'Blancos' are studying the impact the Uruguayan could have on the rest of the dressing room. Cavani is a proven goalscorer and a top quality forward and may not accept his role at Madrid.

The war of egos saga at PSG continues. If the situation cannot be reverted, Europe's elite will battle over the Uruguayan.
