Nacho's return was the big news from Real Madrid's latest training session. EFE

The player had missed some training sessions due to an injury which has started to go away.

The defender Nacho Fernandez trained with the rest of his Real Madrid teammates for the first part of the session as did striker Mariano Diaz. Both sat out the second part which saw Zinedine Zidane up the intensity and organise a match between the players.

The injury problems which caused Nacho to reduce his intensity in training last week are gradually going away and he completed his exercise plan. He joined the team this Tuesday, Madrid's second session of the week.

The only absentee from training was the Serbian Luka Jovic who is continuing with his recovery plan after getting injuted during lockdown. He is still suffering from a fracture to his right ankle which will prevent him playing when action resumes.

The rest of the players in the first team squad trained under Zidane in a session which according to Real Madrid began with fitness work before doing exercises with the ball and shooting practice.

For the second day in a row, the Real boss arranged a match so that the footballers could get used to playing again. It was especially important for Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio who have recovered from long term injuries.
