Spain goalkeeper David de Gea spoke about his current situation at Manchester United and addressed the rumours linking him to Real Madrid, just a few days before the summer transfer window opens.

In statements made to 'Goal', Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was very calm regarding his future, and is convinced that he will remain with the Premier League outfit for another season, despite Real Madrid's keen interest in him.

The 27-year-old also made it clear that his sole focus at this point in time is the World Cup in Russia with the Spanish national team. He said: ''A change of scene? The most important thing right now is the World Cup, I cannot think of anything else or get distracted.''

De Gea added: ''We have to be focused, to play a good World Cup, we are strong and we hope we can go far and win the tournament.''

As for his future, he noted that his plan is continue winning titles under Jose Mourinho, he said: ''I have to win titles with United. Football is football and anything can happen but as always, I am calm.''

''Whatever happens I will stay the same. It is important to be focused and to play at 100 per cent.'' For Mourinho's part, he is keen to hold onto the Spaniard at Old Trafford for at least another season.
