In the 27th minute, a cross from Odriozola struck Morcillo's elbow. The Athletic Bilbao raised his arm and Madrid wanted a penalty, but neither Mateu Lahoz or VAR saw it.

There is controversy. In the 27th minute between Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid, the visitors wanted a penalty for handball, but it wasn't given.

Odriozola got into the box from the right hand side and his cross struck the arm of Morcillo. The Athletic number 2 took a chance when he jumped and the ball struck him just under the elbow.

Odrizola and the rest of the Real Madrid players wanted a penalty, but referee Mateu Lahoz gave a corner. He then stopped play to listen to the VAR.

After a long check, the VAR deemed it not to be a penalty and play continued. Madrid kept on protesting, but the referee said his arm was not above his shoulder.
