The sucker punch on Paris Saint-Germain and the resulting offensive recovery have shown that the club's crisis has been left behind. Zinedine Zidane's team have found their best form at the decisive part of the season and appear unstoppable.

Things are certainly changing for the better for Real Madrid. PSG may have been favourites going into their Round of 16 clash but a 3-1 victory to 'Los Blancos' helped silence their critics and they haven't looked back since

In the five matches they have played in so far in February, including the one against the Ligue 1 outfit, they have secured one draw - early on to Levante - and four victories.

Their lastest triumph came on Wednesday. It wasn't Madrid's best performance by any stretch but they battled through to take all three points away to Leganes, who had shocked them just a month earlier by knocking them out of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

With one eye on the return leg in Paris, it was a team which didn't boast the best that 'Los Blancos' have to offer. However, their 'Plan B' scored three goals without reply to add to an attack which is back to it's prolific best.

- A scary average -

Those three goals add to the five against Real Sociedad and Real Betis, as well as the three against PSG and two against Levante. It means, in total, since that that shock elimination from the Copa del Rey, Madrid's attack has found the back of the net 22 times in six games, at an average of 3.67 a game.

The phenomenal tally has been shared by the bulk of the team too. Crisitano Ronaldo is, expectedly out front with six, but the rest has been shared between eight players with Sergio Ramos scoring three, Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio bagging two, and the other five with just one each.

Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale may not be joining in with the goals as much as Zidane and the fans would like, but with the overall team performing as it is, it's a small price to pay for the Madrid club to still salvage something from the season and with the return fixture with PSG just two weeks away, it appears as if Real are ready to fight
