Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid have agreed an incredible €180m deal with Monaco for striking sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Spanish publication 'Marca' reports that Zinedine Zidane's side have agreed to pay €160m up front and a further €20m in add-ons for the 18-year-old striker.

The deal would smash the current world record transfer of £89m, set when Paul Pogba joined Manchester United from Juventus last summer, though rumours continue to link Neymar with a €222m move to French giants PSG.

The same source claims that Mbappe will sign a six-year deal at the Bernabeu with an annual salaray of €7m, or €134,000 a week.

Zinedine Zidane has openly admitted his side's need for a new stirker following Alvaro Morata's move to Chelsea and it appears that Mbappe is his first-choice target.

Manchester City and Arsenal were also heavily linked with the player, though the feeling was that the youngster would either join Real or stay at Monaco for another season.

The French international starred for the Monegaque side last season as they won Ligue 1 and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, scoring 26 goals in 44 games in all competitions.
