Rashford gifts an unusual Mother's day present
Marcus Rashford forgoes the traditional Mother's Day gifts in favour of a slightly more unique option.
After Manchester United's victory against Liverpool on Saturday, the young forward was awarded Man-of-the-Match. He promptly took to showing the award off on Instagram, before giving it to his mother as a gift.
The 20-year-old posted a photo on social media with his mother, Melanie, captioned: "Thank you for all you do. Happy Mother’s Day Mum, perfect present!" In Rashford's first start for United since Boxing Day, he scored two goals within the opening half-hour in a forward trio of himself, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
United are sitting in second place in the Premier League after Saturday's victory with Liverpool, five points down in third position. Manchester City are 13 points clear at the head of the table.
The 'Red Devils' will take on Sevilla in the second-leg of the Champions League on Tuesday.
