When the 'Egyptian King' Mo Salah was forced off the pitch with a shoulder injury, fans of the forward took to Twitter to complain of wrongdoing by Sergio Ramos. Former Egypt international Mido didn't hold back his thoughts.

Salah fell awkwardly on his shoulder after a tackle from the Real Madrid captain. Liverpool's medical staff immediately rushed the pitch and, despite attempting to play through the pain, was unable to continue.

The tackle has been meticulously scrutinized on the internet, with fans particularly noting the tangling of arms of the two men. Former Spurs striker and Egypt international Mido took to Twitter to voice his anger.

"Anyone that understands football would know that Ramos injured Salah intentionally," wrote Mido in Arabic.

"Any player in the world would've released his arm but Ramos held onto his arm and spun it," he continued in another tweet.

Since the incident, Sergio Ramos has wished his "fellow pro" a speedy recovery: "Get well soon, Salah. The future awaits you," wrote the Spaniard on Twitter.

Egyptians are now worried that they'll have to go without their star man for the World Cup. Salah's penalty in qualifying sealed his nation's place at the tournament in Russia but now risks missing out on the experience.
