Bayern Munich will play host to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday in the Bundesliga. Spectators will see something different at the Allianz Arena though. The corner flags will be rainbow coloured to promote tolerance and diversity.
"With this initiative in conjunction with our fan club 'Queerpass Bayern', we want to show our support to tolerance and diversity against racism and homophobia," expressed Karl-Heinz Rumennige.
"We hope to give greater visibility, educate people and clearly contribute towards the eradication of stigmas," said Marcus Janke, president of 'Queerpass Bayern'.
Janke assured that "it's a fantastic sign that Bayern, a global club, supports us. They defend tolerance and reject discrimination of any type since the rainbow flag is not only a symbol of the homosexual movement."
