Puel talks up Chilwell international future
Leicester manager Claude Puel has said that Ben Chilwell can become a key player for England after starting against Croatia and starring in the win over Spain this international break.
The French manager promoted him to the starting left-back spot over Christian Fuchs, and he impressed enough for Gareth Southgate to call him up to the senior England squad.
"He is a complete player for us," said Puel. "He can attack, he can defend, he can become a valuable player for the national team, he can compete with all the players.
"It's the work of the England manager. The last season he finished very well and he started very well this season.
"It was fantastic for a young player to start his first game for the national team. Now he needs to keep improving and maintain consistency."
