French giants PSG could be set to run out of shirts bearing the name of Samba star Neymar after being inundated with orders since the player's sensational switch from Barcelona during the summer.

The notion that a big-name signing will pay the club back in shirt sales is as old as time and whilst Neymar is unlikely to manage to pay back all of his £198m world record transfer fee, he has caused staff in the PSG club shop a few sleepless nights.

English publication 'The Daily Mail' reports that in the last 30 days, PSG have sold over 120,000 'Neymar Jr 10' shirts, earning them in the region of £8m.

Sales are thought to be up 75% on last summer, with Neymar's arrival a huge factor in that increase.

The French giants are only supplied with shirts until November and there is thought to be genuine concern that they could run out before then.

The Brazilian has taken to life in the French capital like a duck to water, clocking up five goals and five assists in all competitions so far this season.

If he continues in that vein, PSG may have to get on the phone to their shirt suppliers sharpish.
