UEFA's disciplinary report, published this Tuesday, includes sanctions, but also warnings. Specifically, one very serious one for Paris Saint Germain for their attitude during the last 16 second leg match with Dortmund.
The footballers of the Parisian outfit made the atmosphere bad tempered in the build up as did their fans and there was lots of hostility on the field of play with provocations and fighting.
The match, played behind closed doors, ended in a 2-0 win for PSG and saw the Germans eliminated from the competition. During the PSG players' celebrations, they copied Erling Haaland's celebration in the first leg. They did the same in the dressing room and the club even encouraged their behaviour.
Aa a result of them, as part of Article 15.4 of the Championd League disciplinary code ("if a national team or club behaves incorrectly, disciplinary measures can be taken against the association or club in question"), UEFA have decided to warn PSG for "improper conduct".
They got off without punishment. City, Tottenham, Barcelona and Napoli were not so lucky. Liverpool, who were eliminated by Atletico Madrid, have been ordered to pay a 3000 euro fine for throwing flares.
