The signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have already turned plenty of heads in the French capital and beyond, but the French giants have now set their sights on a goalkeeper as they look to add the finishing touches to their squad.

Italian news outlet 'CalcioMercato' reports that the Parisians are looking to recruit one of the world's best stoppers as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the Champions League.

It is hoped that the move will be wrapped up before FIFA have the chance to impose sanctions on the club for breaking Financial Fair Play rules over the signings of Mbappe and Neymar earlier this summer.

Boss Unai Emery is still yet to be convinced by his goalkeeping options, with both Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola still yet to show the Spaniard that they merit being an undisputed starter.

That has pushed PSG into the transfer market, with the aforementioned source claiming that the club are hoping to bring in one of either Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak or AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The powers that be at the club believe that the addition of either of those 'keepers would make them much more competitive going forward, by adding a steeliness to their backline to couple the pace and flair they now have in abundance in attack.

The Parisians are expected to make their move next summer, though any deal will not come easily or cheaply.

Oblak is highly-rated in Madrid, with Atletico boss Diego Simeone having regularly referred to him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world in recent times. Donnarumma meanwhile, signed a new contract at the San Siro in the summer, with his release clause set at €100m.

However, PSG have shown that they are more than prepared to spend big money if the right player comes along.
