A group of around 500 fans gathered in front of the Mestalla in the run-up to the match between Valencia and Alavés to protest against the club owner, Peter Lim, and club president, Anil Murthy.

At the protest, there were signs against the duo and one of them said "Us, passion, you, commission". Another said "when serving Valencia, don't serve yourself".

There was also shouts of support by those in front of the stadium towards the singing section "north curve" and towards the team.

The protest inside the stadium were more discrete, and the fans didn't sing songs en masse against Lim and Murthy.
