Pratto rescued River once again
Lucas Pratto was River Plate's savior once again on Sunday as he drew them level in the Copa Libertadores final second leg, just as he had done in the reverse fixture at the Bombonera.
Dario Benedetto had given Boca the lead at the Bernabeu, but it always felt unlikely that the game would finish 1-0 and so it proved.
Having dominated the first 45, Boca inexplicably took their foot off the gas after the break and they were eventually punished as River finally put together a flowing move.
'Los Millonarios' strung together a series of passes in the middle of the park, culminating with Nacho Fernandez being slipped into the right-hand channel by Sebastian Palacios.
It was at that point that Pratto darted away from his marker to meet Fernandez's cutback and guide a first-time effort into the far corner to bring his side back into the tie, just as he had done in the first leg.
