Porto don't want Riqui Puig either
After learning that Fiorentina have rejected a bid for Riqui Puig, the Barcelona youth player has received another rejection. This time, from Porto, who have ruled out signing him, as reported by 'Record'.
'Sport' recently reported that Porto have asked for Riqui Puig on loan. The Barcelona player does not count for Xavi Hernandez and is forced to look for a new team, although the club are considering renewing him to prevent him from leaving for free when his contract expires in 2023.
This interest was joined by another Portuguese side, Benfica. Meanwhile, Fiorentina have expressed their refusal to sign the midfielder and Sarri's Lazio seem to be another possible destination for the Catalan player.
One team that must be deleted from this list is Porto. 'Record' reported that the Portuguese club have ruled out signing Riqui Puig, who is set to be one of the most complicated soap operas at Barcelona, where the exit operation has already been speeded up with the departure of Lenglet to Tottenham.
It should be added that it emerged on Saturday that the midfielder will not be at Barça's pre-season tour of the United States. Xavi has decided to leave him, and the rest of the squad, out of the tour so that he can work out his future more comfortably.
