Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has announced that the new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino does not want to keep the Portuguese forward, who was on loan at the side until the end of the season.

Joao Felix, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea until the end of the season, had admitted a few days before that he would like to stay in London.

"I don't know yet what my future holds, but I've really enjoyed these four or five months. Chelsea's a massive club and everyone has been very kind to me. My teammates are amazing and I'd really like to stay here", the 23 year old player said.

But Mauricio Pochettino's arrival at the head of the Blues has changed the situation for the Portuguese forward, who has scored just four times for the London outfit.

In comments collected by Fabrizio Romano, the Atletico Madrid Enrique Cerezo has announced that the new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino does not want to keep Joao Felix.

"We have been informed that Poch does not count with Joao Felix for Chelsea. He will return here, we’ll see… we’ve nothing planned”

The 23 year old forward, who does not have the best relationship with Diego Simeone, will have to return to the Spanish side this summer. The Madrid outfit are asking for more than €100 million to let the player leave, as he is under contract until 2027.
