After mounting speculation over his future at Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino has put pen to paper on a new deal that runs until 2023.

Mauricio Pochettino has pledged his long-term future to Tottenham by signing a new five-year contract with the Premier League club.

Along with the Argentine manager, a number of his close assistants have also signed new deals at the north London club.

The deal takes him into a new pay bracket, worth a reported £8.5million per year, although this is still some way off what Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola earn in Manchester.

"I am honoured to have signed a new long-term contract as we approach one of the most significant periods in the club's history and be the manager that will lead this team into our new world-class stadium," Pochettino said.

"This is just one of the factors that makes this one of the most exciting jobs in world football and we are already making plans to ensure we continue to build on the great work that everyone has contributed to over the past four years.

"Daniel (Levy, Tottenham's chairman) and I have spoken at length about our aspirations for this football club. We both share the same philosophies to achieve long-term, sustainable success."
