Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi is convinced that his team can compete with the best despite their defeat to Germany in the Confederations Cup final.
Germany ran out 1-0 winners in the game, meaning Chile had to settle for second place, but Pizzi was eager to focus on the positives.
"We played superbly and gave everything" said Pizzi.
He insisted that "it is normal to be disappointed when you lose a final" but asserted that "knowing we can compete against the best teams in the world makes us happy."
The Chile boss also promised to stay true to their all or nothing style.
Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo who won the Golden Glove accolade said "we've learned a great deal. We gave it our all. We lost to a world-class team. We're very sad, but can still be proud of ourselves. We never eased off."
