Pique will not be punished for his gesture against Espanyol
According to 'Cadena Sur', the Royal Spanish Football Federation have decided to archive the complaint about Pique's controversial goal celebration during Barcelona's tie away at Espanyol.
Ultimately, the centre-back will not be sanctioned for his 'shh' gesture to the stands whilst celebrating his equaliser against Espanyol.
The Competition Comittee reportedly filed the complaint from La Liga some time ago and will not continue investigations further against the Spaniard.
Initially, the comittee revealed there was a complaint, but said they weren't going to take legal action. Instead, they launched a "process of reserved information" in which they listened to all parties involved.
When the process ended, the sanctioning body found no reaston to punish Pique, who has had to endure insults against himself and his family during his last few visits to Espanyol's stadium.
It's worth noting that, through a statement, La Liga claimed Pique to be the only one responsible for the events despite a lack of concrete arguments.
