Pique causes stir on Twitter after responding to 'crybaby' comment
Edu Aguirre and Gerard Pique were the protagonists of an exchange of comments on Twitter. The journalist slammed the central defender and Pique sarcastically replied later.
Pique has got Twitter talking again. The Barca central defender replied to a tweet from Edu Aguirre, a journalist from TV programme 'El Chiringuito', who accused him of being a crybaby.
"You have to cry at home beforehand," Aguirre after Pique's comments that it was very difficult for Barca to win La Liga after the goalless draw with Sevilla.
It was 2.21am in Spain when Aguirre wrote the message. Pique replied at just after 3am.
"You've overstepped the mark," the defender replied. That got people talking.
Just two hours later, Pique's response got over 10,000 retweets and 23,000 likes despite it being 3am in the morning.
