Although the audios revealed by 'El Confidencial' already made it public knowledge, Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, admitted on 'Al Rojo Vivo', a programme on 'LaSexta', that Gerard Pique asked him for an easy group for Andorra in the RFEF Tercera Division. The president said, however, that he did not agree.

Luis Rubiales, in the week in which audios were leaked of private conversations with Gerard Pique to organise the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia and to discuss other matters, gave several interviews to explain himself. The last ones, to two 'Atresmedia' programmes: 'Espejo Publico', on Antena 3, and 'Al Rojo Vivo', on LaSexta.

On Antonio Garcia Ferreras' TV programme, the president of the RFEF confirmed that the Barcelona player, who also owns Andorra, asked him for an easy group for when his team entered the RFEF Primera Division. "He asked me for Andorra to play in an easy group," he said, although he denied that he agreed to this request.

On how the contents of his personal phone came to light, as he did in his first press conference, he denounced a persecution of his person: "There is a mafia that wants to do away with me. I am not going to name names. They are after me. The commissions to Pique? The Federation has not paid commissions".

He also insisted that the audios of Pique "have nothing to do with the distribution that has been made. The Federation, in the end, got 40 million and more than 20% goes to modest football. There is no team that gets more than eight or nine. He also repeated that he intends to ask for a fixed salary "so that they are calm, because it is not enough that it is legal".
