Real Madrid have begun their plans to strengthen their front line next summer. As revealed by 'Don Balon', chief Florentino Perez wants to get up to 100 million euros for Gareth Bale, in order to re-invest said amount in landing Antoine Griezmann.

Florentino Perez is thinking long term and, according to the mentioned source, Gareth Bale is not part of Real Madrid's future.

The Spanish publication assured that the Madrid chief wants to offload Bale. He is aware that the Welshman has many suitors in the Premier League, and is hoping to get a lucrative fee for his transfer.

Gareth Bale has struggled at the Bernabeu in recent times. Injuries have stifled his progression and his numbers have plummeted in the last couple of seasons. In the meantime, younger starlets have emerged such as Isco or Asensio, and Perez wants to add to that pool of promising talent.

Real Madrid could get up to 100 million euros for Gareth Bale next summer, using said fee to sign Atletico striker Griezmann as a replacement.

Manchester United came close to securing the services of the Frenchman, but was unable to do so because of the Spanish side's transfer embargo. The 26-year-old's release clause has since halved, and next summer he could be keen on a move.
