We take a closer look at Ousmane Dembele's performance in Barcelona's 3-0 win over Levante on Sunday.

Despite Ernesto Valverde suggesting that the game may come too soon for his to start, Dembele was named in the Barca starting lineup for the first time since September and the first time full stop at the Camp Nou.

The former Borussia Dortmund man did all he could to endear himself to the home crowd and whilst he didn't look to be a fan of the rough stuff, ducking out of a few challenges, that can be forgiven for a player coming off the back of a long lay-off.

The France international recorded a 100% pass completion rate in the game.

Dembele showed his ability to use both feet to good effect and he could have had an assist to his name when he found Luis Suarez, only for the Uruguayan to be denied by a fine Oier save. Meanwhile, Dembele himself went close in the first half with a powerful low effort that Oier had to beat away, before Suarez fluffed his lines from the rebound.

In general, the youngster looked tidy, without appearing particularly incisive, though as Ernesto Valverde suggested post-match, there is still plenty more to come from the Frenchman.

Nevertheless, his willingness to shoot from range and fledgling partnership with Suarez will have Barca hoping that the fee paid for the young starlet will prove to be money well spent.

Dembele will be hoping to make himself one of the first name on Ernesto Valverde's teamsheet, with the impending arrival of Coutinho set to further strengthen Barca going forward.
