After a long summer of rumours and negotiations, all media reports point to the fact that Neymar will not be coming back to Barça, instead settling for another season at PSG. The transfer window is closing this Sunday and, with it, the summer's biggest controversial transfer threatens to reopen in a few month's time.

The summer transfer window comes to an end on Monday 2 September in most of the major leagues on the Old Continent.

As per usual, the summer has brought an endless amount of rumours, controversy and transfer market bombshells, but there has been one stand-out performer: Neymar

The Brazilian star has starred in this summer's soap opera with his possible departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

The player's uneasiness in the French capital was - and is - evident, which led those closest to him to start working for his most desired destination: the Camp Nou.

Neymar wanted to return to Barcelona and fought for it until the last moment. According to 'Sport', he was even determined to put money out of his pocket.

However, with less than 24 hours to go until the end of the market, only a true miracle (which would be one of the biggest bombshells in history) would prevent him from starting this season with PSG.

Even so, the end of the transfer window will not be the end of the controversy.

Catalan media report that the Brazlian's signing will become a priority for Barça, who are fully aware Neymar wants to come back to the Camp Nou... And could even do so in the winter market.

Of course, everything will depend on the atmosphere experienced by both PSG and Neymar in these months after the serious fracture with the fans and team leaders.

According to 'AS', Barcelona already knows that the price set for Neymar's departure in the summer of 2020 is 170 million.

A figure that presages the second season of a soap opera that has dazzled the world of football.
