Arda Turan is closing in on a return home. In his native Turkey, the transfer deadline isn't until September 8 at 23:59.

The team interested in bringing back the midfielder is Galatasaray, but the Turkish giants will have to reach an agreement with Barcelona first.

The Catalans are willing to offload a player whose performances have been sub-par following the expectations created after his move from Atletico.

While Barcelona would like to see the player leave permanently, Galatasaray are more interested in a loan move for the 30-year-old. Barcelona, however, will not stand in the way of his exit.

The La Liga outfit are seriously considering loaning out the former Atletico man, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', as his options of breaking into Valverde's starting lineup are scarce.

Barcelona's long-term plan involves Turan's value increasing in the Turkish Super Lig before selling him in 2018.
