OFFICIAL: Villa complete loan agreement for Elliott from Liverpool

Aston Villa has reached an agreement with Liverpool for the signing of Harvey Elliott on a loan with an obligation to buy valued at £35 million.

The 22-year-old English midfielder passed a medical on Monday before officially joining Unai Emery's side.

Villa have had a quiet transfer window so far, with Evann Guessand and goalkeeper Marco Bizot being the only signings for the first team.

The young midfielder's arrival strengthens the attacking line-up of a team looking to improve its creativity and goal-scoring ability after a difficult start to the season.

The deal comes alongside negotiations to secure the loan of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, also on the last day of the transfer window.

He was a key player in the England Under-21 team, contributing decisively to their European Championship victory in June.
