Cesc Fabregas will remain in charge of Como. The Italian side announced early Friday afternoon the renewal of their coach for four seasons.
"Como 1907 is pleased to confirm that Cesc Fabregas will coach the men's team on a four-year contract. The appointment follows last season's success as interim and assistant coach, culminating in promotion to Serie A," the club confirmed in a statement.
"It is an honour for us to officially appoint Cesc as coach. The impact of his knowledge, experience and passion has already been evident in last season's success and the evolution of our style of play. We believe this is just the beginning and we look forward to continuing to work with Cesc this season and for many years to come," said official representative of Como's ownership group Mirwan Suwarso.
Cesc also spoke after this ‘first’ contract with Como: "I am very happy to start this season as coach and I thank the ownership group for entrusting me with this position. I share the ambitions of the group and I believe that this is only the beginning of this club's journey."
