Serie A side Bologna have announced former Italy striker Filippo Inzaghi as their new manager after he left his job at Venezia.

Inzaghi has signed a two-year contract with Bologna, ending his two-year tenure with Venezia.

This will be the World Cup winner's third stab at management, after a short stint with AC Milan in 2015-16.

Milan didn't offer the best memories but his time at Venezia was arguably more fruitful, although Inzaghi did miss out on taking them to the top-flight after defeat in the play-off final.

The former striker was a prolific goalscorer during his playing days and he will hope to translate that across to Bologna next season.
