OFFICIAL: Barça register Kounde in La Liga
Barcelona have done it. Jules Kounde has been registered in LaLiga and the French centre-back will be able to play against Valladolid in the third matchday of La Liga, after missing the first two.
Barcelona and their board of directors have achieved their objective, having completed the registration of Kounde in La Liga. A month after his signing, the Frenchman will be able to make his debut in an official match for Xavi Hernandez's side.
It is now official. La Liga placed the former Sevilla player's name on the list of registered names at around 7pm on Saturday, almost 24 hours before the match against Valladolid this Sunday at the Camp Nou.
Therefore, Xavi Hernandez could start Kounde against them, after having started against Manchester City in the friendly match held in Barcelona to raise funds for ALS.
The sporting management did not need to make a number of major transfer departures, such as Aubameyang, Memphis or Frenkie de Jong, to register Kounde, one of the most exciting signings of the summer.
