Italian striker Mario Balotelli has signed a renewed deal with Nice, with whom he finished third in the Ligue 1 last season.

The Italian centre-forward seems to have found his place after ending the 2016/17 season with 17 goals in 28 fixtures. On Sunday, he signed an extension to his contract until the 30th of June, 2018.

Nice, who decribe Balotelli as 'an idol for young and old alike', have underlined the player's interest in 'extending his contract' and the 'financial sacrifice' he has made to stay at the club.

'Balotelli has favoured the sporting aspect and his heart's preferences', the French club published on their official website.

The striker, 26, began to shine at Inter before joining Manchester City. He has also played for AC Milan and Liverpool, where he played for one season until he signed for Nice.
