Arsenal have official completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 28-year-old joins the 'Gunners' for a club-record fee

The Gabonese international quickly became Arsenal's top target following Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester United and Arsene Wenger has got his man, with the player singing a 'long-term' contract at the Emirates.

Aubameyang leaves Dortmund having scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games for the club.

The move is expected to open the door for Olivier Giroud to make the move to Chelsea, with Michy Batshuayi moving to Dortmund as Aubameyang's replacement.

Arsenal have not given details of the fee or length of contract but Aubameyand is believed to have cost €63.75m and according to 'The Daily Mail', the striker has signed a three-and-a-half year deal worth £180,000 per week.

Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc was keen to wish the player well, saying: "Apart from the unpleasant events of recent weeks, we remember the story of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a success story.

"He has done great things for Borussia Dortmund, scored many important goals and was part of the team that brought the DFB Cup to Dortmund in 2017. We wish Pierre-Emerick all the best for his future at Arsenal."
