Nacho Monreal spoke about Real Sociedad's current situation in an interview with 'Marca', where he mentioned their imminent visit to the Bernabéu, Odegaard's form... and even spoke of Bale, who's in the eye of the hurricane for Real Madrid at the moment.
"I was very surprised. When you see him in training and playing you realise he's a special player. And he is a really good person," said the left-back.
He also shared his theory as to why Odegaard breakthrough has happened: "The truth is that he is breaking through and I think he has found the right place, we adapt to the way he plays. You see him enjoy it and raise the level of the group."
Regarding the next rival, Monreal said he loves "how Benzema plays." In addition, he commented on the current situation surrounding Bale, who was catalogued as "a great player, even if his life is more talked about than his playing."
Monreal is aware that "aspiring to win LaLiga is complicated," but hopes to continue the current team dynamics. "We are enjoying the current moment," he concluded.
