Last Saturday, Arsenal and Marseille announced that they had come to an agreement regarding Nuno Tavares' loan move to the French club. The Portuguese full-back will be playing French football for the duration of the 2022/23 season.
The aim of the Gunners' board is for Tavares to be able to grow and have more opportunities away from his club, so that he can return at the end of the season with more experience as a professional footballer. Last season, he played a total of 1,499 across 28 games, 17 of them as a starter. He also scored a goal and provided a couple of assists.
