The midfielder played under the Barcelona boss when he was coach of the 'B' team at Camp Nou and then at Celta and admits he played an important part in his footballing education

Celta forward Nolito has refused to comment on links with a move to Barcelona but admitted coach Luis Enrique is one of his "sporting fathers".

The former Barcelona B player has been the centre of constant speculation over a return to Camp Nou, where he would be reunited with the manager who brought him to prominence in the reserve side and later signed him at Celta.

Nolito has acknowledged the role Luis Enrique, a former attacking midfielder himself, played in helping to build his career.

"Luis Enrique taught me a great deal during the four years I was there. The good and the bad sides of football," he told Sportium.

"He was always upfront with me, he is one of my sporting fathers.

"He made me realise in Barca B that I could earn my living in this profession. He insisted I lose weight and take care of myself. His advice was very important to advance in my career."
