Nkunku has finally given his first words as a new Chelsea player. The Frenchman described the Blues several times as a 'good project' and also made it clear that his priority is to 'win trophies' with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
After Chelsea confirmed a pre-agreement with Leipzig for the transfer of Nkunku at the end of 2022, the Frenchman's £54m move to the Blues became official a few days ago.
After a disastrous season that has seen Pochettino's side miss out on European competition next season, the France international is one of the great hopes of the English club's fans.
The striker has already given his first words as a Chelsea player when asked by the club's website why he joined the Blues: "I think the project was good for me. It is a good project for me to develop myself as a player and a man also.
In addition, the former Leipzig player also explained what his priorities are at his new club: "This is a good city, after all, and for sure I want to improve in football and I want to win trophies and improve myself also. So I think this is a good project for me at this moment. This is a good project, for sure," he concluded.
