Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku is expected to switch clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window due to the limited playing time he has had this season at the Blues.

Christopher Nkunku arrived at Chelsea last season as a promising signing to improve the effectiveness of the Blues' attacking line and just two seasons later he is expected to end his time at Stamford Bridge.

The French striker barely enjoyed his first season in England due to a serious injury that sidelined him for much of the campaign. Despite not being hampered by injury this season, the former Leipzig striker has not enjoyed the playing time he expected under Maresca.

Nkunku will be looking to switch clubs this summer after making just 22 starts this season, in which he has registered 14 goals and 5 assists

According to Fabrizio Romano, it is expected that Chelsea, after talks with Bayern last winter, will give him the green light to look for a new destination this summer despite having a contract until 2029.
