Nice coach Lucien Favre confirmed that Aaron Ramsey "is taking his time to really recover" from the disappointment of the World Cup in Qatar. A situation that is generating controversy in France.

A month after Wales played their last game at the World Cup in Qatar, Ramsey has yet to return to the Nice squad, which resumes its season on Thursday with a Ligue 1 match against Lens.

This was confirmed by coach Lucien Favre, who played down a worrying situation for the French side. "He was very disappointed with the World Cup," the coach explained at a press conference.

"He's taking his time to really recover, that's all," said Favre, who said Ramsey found the failure of the Wales team at the World Cup in Qatar "difficult to digest".

The last match was a 3-0 defeat to England, which saw Wales eliminated and the Three Lions and the USA qualify as runners-up in Group B. Ramsey started all three matches.

Ramsey, formerly of Arsenal and Juventus, has been important for Nice since joining in August. He was back to his best and had played 16 games in all competitions. We'll see if and when he returns.
