Neymar is about to receive some disappointing news with regards to his salary. The pay cuts the players union is negotiating with the clubs will see Neymar hit especially hard. The measure will affect each player differently depending on their wages: those who earn more will have to give up more money.
The calculation is simple. Those players who earn under 10,000 euros a month, will have to take a 10% pay cut, those who earn between 10,000 and 20,000, 20%, 20,000 and 50,000 (30%) and those who get more than 50,000 euros will lose half their salary.
Obviously, the PSG star earns more than 50,000 euros a month. He gets about three million a month, according to 'AS'. This means that he will lose about 1.5 million euros a month. That said, he and his inner circle will have to approve this.
Neymar's father will be the person who has most to say out of those of the player's inner circle. 'AS' says that this pay cut it not expected to go down well with his family. If there is no agreement, Neymar will have to confront his club and the footballers union.
