Newcastle Jets player tests positive for COVID-19
Newcastle Jets have confirmed this Saturday in an official statement that a player in the squad has tested positive for coronavirus. It is not known which player it is.
The pandemic caused by the coronavirus has brought almost all football to a halt and more and more clubs are confirming cases of COVID-19 amongst their players.
On this occasion it is Newcastle Jets of Australia which have confirmed that a player has tested positive for the disease.
The footballer's identity has not been revealed, but Newcastle say that both he and his family are in good health and are all self-isolating.
Newcastle Jets have also commented that all the club's workers will be overseen and guided by the club's medical staff.
