New father Messi was benched for Atletico clash
Four-time World Player of the Year Lionel Messi was left on the bench by Barcelona boss Luis Enrique for his side's crucial La Liga clash away to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Messi hadn't trained with the Catalans all week as he was given permission by the club to miss training on Friday to attend the birth of his second son after arriving back from international duty with Argentina.
Brazilian Rafinha took Messi's place alongside Neymar and Luis Suarez in attack.
